Robert Matthew Mills, age 38, of Ashland, KY, passed away on January 18, 2026. Born on September 17, 1987, in Ashland, KY, Robert was a retired Army Veteran. He was also a former police officer at Klawock Police Department in Klawock, AK. Robert is survived by a son, Christopher Mills and a daughter Rachel Mills both of Farmington, AR; father, Thomas Kazee of Hollis, AK; one brother Rick (Mary) Mills Jr of Ironton, OH; one niece Kynzlee Mills and a nephew Jace Mills, both of Ironton, OH; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Rigsby Kazee and his best friend Christopher Bostic “Kicker”. Those who knew Robert will remember him for his love for animals.
