Robert Thomas Phillips' Obituary
ROBERT THOMAS PHILLIPS "TOM", 72, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn (Tanner) Phillips and his grand-dog Lucky.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Kathie Phillips; identical twin brother and lifelong best friend, Dave (Linda) Phillips; nieces, Amanda Phillips (Ethan) Davis and Melissa (Shane) Edwards; great nieces and nephews, Savannah Davis, Sydney Davis, Brooks Davis, Emma Edwards and Ella Edwards.
Tom was born on August 26, 1949 in South Charleston, WV. His love of music led him to accomplish a bachelor's degree in Music Education in 1971, and then a master's degree in Trumpet Performance in 1972. Tom spent the majority of his career teaching as a band director, plus he saved many lives while working as a paramedic. He also directed several church choirs. Tom attended Lewis Memorial Baptist Church faithfully where he was an active member of the music ministry program.
