Roger Williamson's Obituary
Roger Williamson, 87, passed away on January 26, 2024, at St Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born on January 22, 1937 in Man, WV, to the late Rush and Inez Workman Williamson. He is preceded in death by six siblings, Edward, Artie, Neil, Calvin, Carolyn and Dee.
Roger led a full life as the owner of Williamson Automotive in South Point, Ohio for 27 years. He built homes and cars, and was an avid bass fisherman and vibrant story-teller.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Marcum Williamson, and three children, Rick (Debbie), Kimberly Xenos (John), and Katrina Mailloux (Rich), and three grandchildren, Tanner Williamson (Brooke), and Evan (Alexis) and Lauren Vega. He is also survived by two sisters, Molly and Sheila and brother Monroe (Dottie) and several nieces and nephews.
A private family service conducted by Pastor Jody Fortner will be held at 1:00 PM at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio followed by graveside services at Rome Cemetery on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunshine Freewill Baptist Church, in Huntington, WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at ehallfuneralhome.com.
