Ronald Williams' Obituary
Ronald Williams of Huntington, WV was called home to rest on July 19, 2025. He was born in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late William and Margaret Williams. He attended Greenup County Schools. He retired as a Supervisor with Ashland Oil after 35 years of service.
Ronald accepted Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Burlington, OH for over 45 years, where he was a devoted Sunday School and Bible Study student, as well as serving in various capacities and ministries to include the Greeting Card Ministry Jail Ministry, Nursing Home visitation, Evangelism Team, Laymen, Men’s Chorus, and Riverfront Ministry (feeding and witnessing to those less fortunate). He was also a faithful member of the Gideons and the Providence Laymen’s Auxiliary.
Ronald loved God and his family and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was passionate about sharing the Good News with whoever he came in contact with, even witnessing from his hospital bed hours before God called him home.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by three daughters: Rhonda Williams, Desiree Wyche, and Erika Summers; the mother of his children, Mary Ellen Williams; sisters: Ann Gentry and Virginia Pleasant (Robert Sr.); grandchildren: Ryan, Courtney, Alex, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Famon, Malachi, and Jordyn; several brothers and sisters-in-law, special friend: Chad Raines; and a host of extended family and friends. Service will be at the First Baptist Church of Burlington, OH on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1 p.m. with Rev. LaShawn Kaigler officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service.
