Ruby Mae Howard's Obituary
Ruby Mae Mattison Banks Howard, age 95, of Burlington, OH, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2024. She was born on May 23, 1928, in Belton, South Carolina. She retired from the South Point School Board of Education and was a faithful member of Christ Temple Church where she served as a mother of the church and member of the usher board.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Corrie Mattison; her husbands, O'Dell Banks and Walter Howard, along with seven brothers and five sisters.
Left to mourn are her children, Thomas Banks, Burlington, OH, O'Tello (Mary) Banks of Ashland, KY, Deborah (George) Scott, of Huntington, WV, Walter (Caroline) Howard, of Chillicothe, OH and Alice Johnson of Lee Summit, MO; sisters, Minnie Rice of Anderson, SC and Callie M. Harrison, of Greenville, SC; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends of the family, Marlene Rector and James Lane.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 11, 20224, at Christ Temple Church, 2601 Lexington Avenue, Ashland, KY. District Elder J.D. Crockrel will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH. Condolences may be sent to [email protected] or schneiderhallfuneralhome.com.
