Sandra Kay McCaffery's Obituary
Sandy Kay "Sandy" McCaffery, 50, of Catlettsburg, KY passed away Friday, September 20th, 2024, at her home, following a hard-fought battle with extended illness. Sandy was born on June 19, 1974, to the late Danny Kaye and Joyce Adkins Kiser. She graduated from Boyd County High School in 1992, to become a mother and homemaker shortly thereafter. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Danny and Joyce, along with many extended family members including her precious nieces, Carter Gray; nephew, William "Little Billy" Cornette, and special pup, Chloe. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Todd and Justin McCaffery; a fiancé of five years, Bobby Duvall; siblings, Pam (Billy) Cornette, Alicia Dawn (David) Fields, Shaina (Brandon) Smith, Jonathan (Isaiah), along with her favorite sister and best friend, Lisa Neff (Ben). Sandy had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, namely, Piper and Savanna Kinstler, Cienna Grace, Shanda Wiget, Alisha Crisp, and her baby dog, Lucy Lou. Sandy lived life to the fullest even through her struggles and fought bravely. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, listening to music, and hanging out with her sister Lisa. "If you seen one, you seen them both. Always." Sandy was kind-hearted to all that she loved and would always give a reminder to be grateful for the things we were given. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the Ashland Eagles and 84 Lumber of Ashland, KY, for their selfless generosity to Sandy and her loved ones. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
