Sandra Lee Nance Thacker's Obituary
Sandra Lee Nance Thacker, 71, of Coal Grove, OH, passed away on January 21, 2025, at The Sanctuary of the Ohio Valley, Ironton, OH. Sandra was born on April 7, 1953, in Ironton, OH, to Frances Patterson and Harlow Nance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Paul Nance and Jim Nance; sister Brenda Beacon; two grandchildren Chelsey Barry and Tony Blankenship; and son-in-law Eugene Ferguson. Sandra was a homemaker, raising her son Eric Shawn Thacker and two daughters Cathy Joe Nance and Mellissa Ann Blankenship. Sandy was the person who always put herself on the back burner and others on the front. She loved to dance to her favorite songs and no matter what life threw her way, she always was laughing and giggling with her contagious laugh and smile. Surviving is her husband Orville Ernest Thacker; three kids Cathy Nance (Eugene Ferguson), Eric Thacker (Kelly Rayburn), and Melissa Blankenship (Tony Blankenship); siblings Danny Nance (Ruth Nance), Jeff Nance, Sharon Walls (JC Walls), Lois Carter (John Carter), and Joyce Blair (Mike Blair); grandkids Kayla Barry (Journey Dotson and Jersey Dotson), Cody Blankenship (Michaela Blankenship and Elania Blankenship), Erica Thacker (Shayne Miller, Gavin Miller, Hendrix Miller, Axl Miller, Sophia Miller, Asher Miller), Megan Thacker (Zachary Allen and Madilyn Allen), Shawna Thacker (Jacob Adkins), Eric Thacker Jr, John Ross, and Alex Thacker. Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 24, 2025, at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 AM at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH.
