Shirley Ann Babb's Obituary
Shirley Ann Nicholas Babb, 83, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Thursday August 27, 2020 at Kings Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY. She was born March 31, 1937 in Barboursville, WV to the late Chester Arthur and Ethel Lovely Mitchell Nicholas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Mack Sowards; son Lewis Michael Sowards; granddaughter Katrina Sowards; grandson Jeffrey Michael Sowards, who died back in 1977 when he was almost three years old; great granddaughter Natasha Love who died in January, 1993, she was Katrina Raes daughter; 10 siblings Dorothy Nicholas, Erma Nicholas, William Nicholas, Hobart Ray Nicholas, Naomi Nicholas, Chester Nicholas, Jr. Velva Nicholas, Gordon Nicholas, Lawrence Nicholas, and Kermit Nicholas. She is survived by four children Terry Lynn Sowards, Debra Lee Sowards, Stephanie Renee Hodgson, and Kimberly Ann Hodgson; four grandchildren Adrian, Kristen, Brandon, and Dusti; three great grandchildren Jasyman, Jemmy, and Aiden; one sister Evelyn Moore; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and a niece and nephew that were very supportive of the Nicholas Family, Stevie, Tamma, and Kathy. Private family services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
