Shirley Ann Townsend's Obituary
Shirley Ann Townsend, 82, of Scottown, Ohio passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, in SOMC, Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born September 14, 1942, in Gallia County, Ohio daughter of the late Ab Thompson and Vinda Allen Ratliff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Townsend and a brother, Joe Ratliff. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Jackie Christian of Scottown, Ohio and Polly Anna Simpson (Brian) of Willow Wood, Ohio; one son, Richard (Robin) Townsend of Willow Wood, Ohio; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one brother, Roy Ratliff of Alabama; one sister, Sissy Lowe of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Jeremy Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Wilgus Fairview Cemetery, Wilgus, Ohio. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
