Steve M. Stephens' Obituary
Steve M. Stephens, 72, of Pedro, OH, passed away on December 10, 2025. Born on August 26, 1953, in Wilgus, OH, he was the son of the late Charles and Flossie Allen Stephens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Othie, Owyer “Jeff” Jeffers, Dessie (Bob) Townsend, Mary (Larry) Watters, Phyllis Castle, Sue (Ted) Adams, Billy Stephens, Nancy Burcham, and Alice Thompson; special grandson, Dakota Lee Stephens; brother-in-law, Charles Hardy, and special nephew, James Hardy. Steve worked for 7up Bottling Co. and was a member of the Brotherhood of electricity. He loved fishing, hunting, drag racing, watching westerns, and listening to Christian music. Steve is survived by his wife, Barbara Stephens, whom he married on January 15, 1974; siblings, Patty (Allen) Stiltner, Charlette (Danny) Townsend, and Donna (Donald) Massie; brother-in-law, Kevin Castle; children, Elizabeth “Beth” Massie Hall, Robert (Allisha Holley) Stephens, and Stephanie (Harry Ray) Stephens; grandchildren, Bryan (Amber Hall), Matthew (Autumn Morris) Salyers, Ryan (Crystal Chick) Stephens, Isabella Stephens, and special granddaughter, Madison (Braylon Bird) Carter, 3 of which he helped raise; 19 great-grandchildren and one which was very special to him, Eliza Jane Hall; like a granddaughter, Kelsi Gothard; special brother and sisters in law, Orlyn and Cathy Massie, Mary Howard, and Kathy Jiles; special friend, Dave Bocook and his favorite pet, “Baby”. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Justin Berry, officiating.
