Steven Frederick "Freddie" Johnson's Obituary
Steven Frederick “Freddie” Johnson, 59, of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was born September 1, 1958 in Ironton, Ohio son of the late Doard and Lena Ash Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Ash and Danny Ray Johnson; and one sister, Barbara Ash. He is survived by three sisters Bonnie Johnson of Huntington, WV, Teresa (Steve) Heffner of Chesapeake, Ohio and Karen Chaffin of Ironton, Ohio; faithful and loving companion of 32 years, Diane Whaley; three nephews Matthew Johnson, Brandon Heffner and Justin Ash;two nieces Samantha Heffner and Kim Ash; and one daughter. Freddie was a retired press operator from the Herald-Dispatch. He was a faithful helper and caregiver for several friends and family members. Freddie’s favorite past-time was fishing. A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at First Church of the Nazarene, Huntington, WV. A gathering of friends and family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.
