Suzanne Elaine Jones' Obituary
Suzanne Elaine Jones, 82, of Huntington, West Virginia, and Proctorville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026. Born on July 21, 1943, she was a lifelong resident of the Tri-State area and a proud graduate of Huntington East High School. She later attended Marshall University, carrying with her a deep love for learning and community throughout her life.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Thomas and Gertrude Harshbarger Edmonds; her beloved husband, James Eugene Jones, and three siblings, Edward Thomas Edmonds, John Howard Edmonds, and Patricia Keller Weed.
A woman of steadfast faith, Suzanne was a devoted member of Fairland Southern Baptist Church in Rome, Ohio. Her life was marked by kindness, quiet strength, and a deep commitment to her family. She created a home filled with warmth, encouragement, and unwavering love.
She is survived by her two sons, who were the pride of her life, James Edward (Kimlee) Jones of Elkhart, Indiana, and Edward Thomas (Michelle) Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina. Suzanne cherished her four granddaughters, Kylr Brittany Jones of Elkhart, Indiana, Devani Nicole (Michael) Kamar of Columbus, Georgia, Kaitlyn Grace Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Courtney Abigail Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
She is also survived by her brothers, James Robert (Darlene) Edmonds and Joseph Michael (Patricia) Edmonds, both of Charlotte, North Carolina, along with several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Suzanne’s legacy is one of faith, family, and gentle resilience. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her devotion to those she loved, and the quiet grace with which she lived her life.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and rests now in the eternal peace of her Lord. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10:00 A.M.
