Sydney Phyllis Wilding 1939 - 2017
Sydney Phyllis Wilding, of Huntington, died Saturday, March 4, 2017. Daughter of the late Louise Mabry Sennett, she was born August 19, 1939. A native of Logan County, Sydney was graduated from Logan High School and attended Concord College and Huntington Business School. An avid bridge player, she was a member of Riverside, Survivors, and Foxy Ladies bridge groups. Sydney gave her time and talent to PEO Sisterhood and 1st Presbyterian Church, Huntington, where she served on numerous committees over the years. She will be remembered for her gracious hospitality and determined spirit. Preceding her in death was her husband of 51 years, Richard Wilding. She is survived by her daughter Paige (Ken) Kikuchi, Lexington, KY; and grandsons Richard Harwood Kikuchi, Nashville, TN and Thomas Richmond Kikuchi, also of Lexington. A memorial service, followed by a celebration of life reception will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, March 10 at 1st Presbyterian Church, Huntington. The family requests honoring Sydney with donations to 1st Presbyterian Church, 1015 5th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701.
