Teresa Lynn Burgess' Obituary
Teresa Lynn Burgess, 65, of Huntington, WV, passed away on October 24, 2025. Born on December 26, 1959, in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Patricia Ann Sowards Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Burgess; granddaughter, Alyssa Burgess, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Teresa is survived by her lifelong companion of 53 years, Ernest “Rocky” Burgess; children, Tess (Jesse Thacker) Carter and Jessica Burgess; grandchildren, Ember, Trustin, Austin, Shyanne, and Jaden; great-grandchildren, Ember, Aiden, Landon, Oliver, Emmett, and Rocklyn; sisters, Brenda (Jim) Young and their children and Vickie Evans, and brother-in-law, Jesse Burgess. Teresa loved to read and was a talented artist. She loved her family and all her grandchildren. She enjoyed coloring and playing solitaire on her iPad.
