Thelma Jean Lafon's Obituary
Thelma Jean Lafon, 87, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born April 3, 1937, in Chesapeake, OH, to the late Irvin and Garnett Wright Bone. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Irvin Bone Jr. and Carl Bone; and two sisters Maxine Marksberry and Hope Bone. She was a member of Chesapeake Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years and recently attended South Point Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid Marshall fan. She is survived by her husband Dan Lafon; daughter Lou Anne (Jim) Wilcox of Barboursville, WV; two granddaughters Danielle (Jon) Stutzman of Franklin, OH, and Jamie (Daniel) Dunford of Barboursville, WV; seven great grandchildren Micah, Toby, Torunn, Charli, Maddox, Nolan, and Quinn; two great grandchildren Aurora and Asher; one sister Alice Whitley of Mesa, AZ; several nieces and nephews, including special nephew Randy (Sandy) Bone of Proctorville, OH; and special neighbor and friend Sandra Smith. Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 14, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the ER nurses, especially Michael, and the Pulmonary nurses at St. Mary’s Medical Center for their wonderful care.
