Thomas "TJ" Ray Belville's Obituary
Thomas (T.J.) R. Belville, 55, of Proctorville, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, July 3, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. T.J. was born on September 8, 1970, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Thomas L. Belville and Sandra D. Archer Belville. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kristi D. Belville Warner, and his mother-in-law, Karen Y. Miller Black. Left to cherish his memory are his loving father, Thomas L. Belville; his devoted mother, Sandra D. Archer Belville; his beloved wife, Rebecca L. Black Belville; his cherished daughter, Cheyenne S. Belville; his brothers-in-law, Michael W. Warner and Mark E. (Kim A.) Black; his nephews, Alec (Sam) Warner, Jacob (Madisyn) Warner, Victor (Spencer) Black, and Luke (Angela) Black; two great-nephews; and a host of extended family and dear friends. T.J. was a 1988 graduate of Fairland High School, T.J. proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves with Platoon 3022 beginning in 1989. He spent many years as a licensed hunting guide in Ohio, Wyoming, and Canada, working alongside his father. He later worked as a heavy equipment operator through Operating Engineers Local 324 before becoming the owner of TJB Construction. T.J. also enjoyed serving his community as a school bus driver for the Fairland Local School District. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Proctorville and the Maranatha Sunday School Class; T.J. lived his life with unwavering faith and a heart for serving others. His greatest joy was found at home with his family, where he treasured every moment spent together. Whether through his kindness, generous spirit, or the way he faithfully shared his testimony, T.J. never missed an opportunity to point others to Jesus Christ. His genuine love for the Lord and his desire to share the hope of the Gospel left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. T.J. will be remembered for his infectious smile, generous heart, steadfast faith, and the love he showed to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. T.J.’s favorite Bible verse was “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” — Jeremiah 33:3. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Proctorville, with Pastor Jeff Black and Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 687, Proctorville, Ohio 45669, in honor of T.J.’s lifelong commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
