Timothy Allen Chapman's Obituary
Timothy Allen Chapman, 63, of Eastern Heights Barboursville, WV, passed away on May 7, 2026. If you knew Tim, you already know heaven probably got a whole lot louder. Tim was truly one of a kind. Charismatic, wild, hilarious, stubborn at times, and always the life of the party. He never met a stranger and somehow could turn even an ordinary day into a story people would be laughing about for years. Whether he was cracking jokes, helping somebody out, or raising a little hell, there was never a dull moment when Tim was around. He spent many years working alongside his father and brothers as an electrician and plumber; a trade that was more than work to him, it was family, loyalty, and pride. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Joan Chapman and his brothers, Greg Chapman and Bobby Chapman, and sister-in-law, Roberta Chapman. Tim leaves behind his brother, Jimmie Chapman; his sisters, Sasha Chapman, Melinda (Richard) Boggess; the one person he always considered the son he never had, Nathan Hall, though not related by blood, the bond between Tim and Nathan was one of true father and son, best friends, and lifelong buddies. Tim also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Deanna (Mike) Rowe, Jason Chapman, Jamie (Bronwynn) Chapman, Crystal (Nathan) Hall, Jennifer Chapman, Andrew (Tar) Chapman, and Tanner (Kaylee) Chapman; lifelong companion, Angela Day, along with numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, family members and friends who loved him dearly. To know Tim was to have a story about him. He lived loud, loved hard, and left and impression wherever he went. His family finds comfort knowing that while his passing leaves a hole that can never truly be filled, the memories, laughter, and stories he gave everyone will live forever. Not only does blood not matter, but he was also a papaw Tim to some amazing girls who truly loved him dearly. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Condolences may be expressed to the family at https://ehallfuneralhome.com
