Victoria "Vickie" Pyles' Obituary
Victoria “Vickie” Murdock Pyles, 87, of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on June 22, 2025. Vickie is survived by three sons, Richard “Rick” Pyles, Daniel “Dan” (Kelli) Pyles, and William “Bill” (Diana) Pyles Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Teena Baker; and her stepdaughter, Della Ann Adkins. She is preceded in death by her cherished husband, William “Bill” Leslie Pyles; her son, David Pyles; her stepson, Harvey “Butch” (Diane) Pyles; and three sisters, Valerie “Katy” (Delbert) Cremeans, Verity “Kitty” (Darrell) Ramey, and Veronica “Ronnie” (John) Gamertsfelder. Vickie was born on Oct. 30, 1937, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late John Elmer and Ida Belle Stephenson Murdock. She graduated from Huntington High School and was retired from the Corbin factory in Huntington. Each afternoon, her husband, Bill, picked her up from work with a cold Pepsi and a Snickers bar. Tough and determined, Vickie loved her life and lived for her family. She loved her friends and the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, she loved her 13 grandchildren, Dennis, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Willie, Joe, Amee Jo, Whitney, Nathan, Davin, Eric, Drew, Joy, Chad, and a “whole bunch” of great-grandchildren, all of whom knew her as Mawmaw. Vickie treasured her friends Leigh and Jeff Hughes, Mellissa Haas, Randy McNeely and Leslie (Leighty) Pyles. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and the love they showed her. Leslie is considered part of the family and provided Vickie with loving, 24/7 care for the last several months. Vickie’s family would like to thank the host of friends and neighbors who have visited and looked after her for these many years. You are appreciated. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Brumfield Cemetery in Shoals, West Virginia. Condolences to the family may be expressed at ehallfuneralhome.com
