Virgil Lee Stroud's Obituary
Virgil Lee Stroud, 75, of Patriot, Ohio, passed away Friday November 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born June 23, 1943 in Williamson, WV son of the late Birdie and Martha Stroud. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Virgil Paul; granddaughter Cora Lou; sisters Lydia, Rose, and Percilla; brothers Bird Jr., James, Albert, Raymond, and Carlos. Virgil is survived by his wife of 59 years, Louella Stroud; children Larry, Bernice, Karen (Chuck), and Marsha; eight grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. He worked and owned his own roofing company for more than 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with "the guys." He also enjoyed telling stories about "the old days." Virgil will be truly missed. A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday November 20, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
