Virginia "Jenny" Signorini's Obituary
Virginia “Jenny” Helena Signorini, 82, of Huntington, WV entered her heavenly home on Sunday December 29, 2024, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Jenny was born October 27, 1942, in Middleport, OH to the late Genevieve and Bennie Potter Sr. She looked forward to seeing her Lord Jesus and those who preceded her in death including her husband of 37 years Francis Signorini. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Hatfield; sister Betty Bowen; brother-in-law Bill Bowen, brother Bennie Potter Jr and stepdaughter Lois Signorini. Jenny is survived by her son David Jordan; daughter Lori Wyrick; brother Ray (Rita) (Potter) Thacker; granddaughters Jami Edin (Tim), Courtney McMahon (John), Brianne Bailey (Derek Boyer), Allison Bailey (Dakota); great grandchildren Hayley, Kayla and Travis McMahon, Jordan, Canaan, Levi and Gideon Edin and Bailey Coltogirone. Jenny graduated from Huntington High School, she retired from Scott Orthopedics, and after retirement she loved working with children and was assistant pre-school director at Highlawn Baptist Church, where she taught children’s church. Jenny started her own in-home Christian day care. Jenny and Fran often said those were great years. She was called to be the director of Children’s Ministry at Baptist Temple. Jenny has been a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church since 2008. She loved her church, pastors, staff, and volunteering at the Circle of Friends. She also volunteered many hours at Lily’s place where she loved rocking babies. Jenny and her family would like to thank the pastors and members of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church for their teaching and her spiritual growth. The family would also like to thank the staff of Cabell Huntington Hospital for their gracious care. Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon Friday January 3, 2025, at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church 1358 W Pea Ridge Rd, Huntington, WV 25705 with Pastor David Lemming officiating. Visitation will be held from 11a.m until noon on Friday at the church. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park Huntington, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jenny’s honor to Lily’s Place at P.O. Box 2, Huntington, WV, 25706.
