Wanda Jane Spurlock's Obituary
Wanda Jane Spurlock, 80, of Chesapeake, OH passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born on February 4, 1938 to the late Carl and Clara Aliff Carter. Wanda loved to cook for her family and fellow church members. She was a member of Sybene Missionary Baptist Church for over thirty years. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dennis Christian; her second husband, Lial Spurlock; one daughter, Barbara Christian; three brothers, Raymond Carter, Jack Carter and Lucian Carter; two sisters, Lucille Shuff and Helen Carter; four brothers-in-law, Paul Nelson, Fred Clark, Albert Shuff and Bob Stahlman; and one grandson, James "Jimbo" Grimment. She is survived by one daughter, Teressa Harrison; one brother, Paul (Zelma) Carter; six sisters, Ruth Stahlman, Naomi "Jo" Nelson, Carol Clark, Phyllis (Monty) Hall, Dorothy Tredway and Shirley (Ron) Wilson; one special friend, Rebecca Watkins; one very special granddaughter, Bethany Harrison; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor D.L. Webb at 1 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Sybene Missionary Church in South Point, OH. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6 PM - 8 PM at Sybene Missionary Baptist Church in South Point, OH. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Willow Wood, OH.
