I met Dave back in the 70's when I would come by Huntington Bicycle Center for small parts. I probably got on his nerves not buying anything big (at least not until later), but we became friends nevertheless. Others from the bicycling community hung around the shop, too, and before long, Dave was chauffeuring us to bicycle tours and races. He was as much a buddy as a businessman. He also was a great champion and promoter of bicycling, and Huntington and the Tri-State area can thank Dave for keeping the enthusiasm in cycling high. My love and condolences to his family. Ride on, Dave!
