Weston Michael Sawyer Cremeans' Obituary
Weston Michael Sawyer Cremeans, passed away at the age of 6, on August 11, 2025, leaving behind a world forever brighter for having known him. Weston was born on March 14, 2019, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Chad and Kayla Cremeans. He was active, curious, and bursting with energy from the very beginning. He was affectionately nicknamed “Wild Wess”. Words cannot capture how special Weston was to us. We were lucky to have him as part of our family, and he was truly one of a kind. Always full of ideas and mischief, he approached life with a boldness that made him unafraid to speak his mind. Weston was both brave and clever, and he never failed to bring a smile to our faces. Weston loved riding his dirt bike, swimming, and exploring the outdoors. His favorite place was the beach. He was happiest helping on the farm, often riding the tractor with his Papaw Bud. He once looked forward to riding his dad’s Harley, and now he’s riding on the streets of gold. Whether playing video games or imagining adventures of his own, Weston’s creativity, bravery, and intelligence were unmatched. Weston became a hero through the gift of organ donation, giving other children the chance to grow. His light continues in the lives he has touched. Weston’s time with us was far too short, but the love he gave and the joy he brought will last forever. His absence will leave a place in our hearts that will never be filled. He is survived by his parents, Chad and Kayla Cremeans; brothers, Braxton and Easton; grandparents, Bud and Michelle Midkiff, Margaret Ferris (Mike Woods), and Schon Combs; great-grandparents, Ralph and Sue Mullins, Mike and Shelia Midkiff; aunt, Payton Combs; uncle, Joseph and aunt Alesha Whitfield; and cousins, Maesyn Thomas and Cole Whitfield, and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Langdon; maternal great-grandparents, Russell and Lottie Ferris; paternal great-grandparents, Dale Cremeans, and Raymond and Helen Combs. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. on Saturday August 16, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Holton Friends and Family Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV.
