Wilbert Allen Barrett's Obituary
Wilbert Allen Barrett, 72, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Monday August 11, 2025 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born on August 18, 1952, to the late Sarah McCoy Barrett. He is also preceded in death by his wife Laura Bockway Cecil Barrett. He is survived by his daughter Amy (Matt) Wilson of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, grandson George Wilson, and sister DiAnn (Rev. Carter Dale) Henson. He graduated from Chesapeake High School in 1970. After high school he served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. He also served as an FBI agent, TBI agent, and divorce attorney for more than 25 years in Nashville, Tennessee. A special thanks to the VAMC nurses, doctors, and support staff for their care.
