Wilbur Eugene Williams' Obituary
Wilbur Eugene Williams, 85, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Florida, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. He was born January 19, 1939, in Crown City, Ohio, to the late Charles Wilbur and Lillias Sims Williams. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny Mae Maynard and Betty Long. Gene is survived by his wife, Alice Mae Dillon Williams; two sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Church, of Gallipolis, Ohio, Cheryl (David) Williams of Crown City, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.Gene was a retired barber from the New Albany, Ohio, area. He was a member of the New Albany, Ohio, and Punta Gorda, Florida, Lion's Clubs for over 50 years. He served in our Armed Forces in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11AM in the morning at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6PM~8PM with a Masonic Service at 7:30PM, Conducted by Ohio Valley Lodge #536 of Crown City, to take place at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, after the service at Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, OH. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
