William Edward Nellons , Sr.'s Obituary
William Edward Nellons Sr., 71, of Barboursville, WV, departed this life on October 5, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. He was born September 13, 1951 in Huntington, WV. Shortly after high school he enlisted in the Army where he received an honorable discharge. He loved sports and was a member of the Summer League in Huntington, WV where he was score keeper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Demetrise France and William Nellons; one sister, Marilyn Briscoe and one brother, Joe Hill. He was a loving father and leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kenyon Lewis of Columbus, OH, Christopher Rogers, Tonya Gravely, William Nellons Jr., WaLona Nellons and Markus Mize-Nellons, all of Huntington, WV; sisters, Rhonda Curry of Columbus, OH, Shelli Curry, Ann Hilll, Vanessa Myers and Arlene Yancy, of Huntington, WV; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and Jennifer Zelker, who never left his side. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday October 15, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home & Crematory in Proctorville, OH. A graveside service will be held 12 noon on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Donel Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV.
