William Earl Shockley's Obituary
William Earl Shockley, 88, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away at home on Saturday April 18, 2026. He was born on November 6, 1937, to the late Catherine Smith and Donald Shockley. He was also preceded in death by his wife Lorene Shockley, brother Donald Lee Shockley, 3 sisters Margaret Scarberry, Juanita Raines, and Alice Christian. He is survived by his daughter Earlene (James) Pennington of Huntington, WV, son Earl “Joe” (Patti) Shockley of Tennessee, brother David Shockley of South Point, Oh, sister Faye Hysell of Chesapeake, Oh, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Earl was a Korean War Veteran serving proudly in the Navy. A private family service will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family arrangements.
