Zayla Eileen Boggess, 9, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born October 8, 2012, in Huntington, WV. She is survived by her mother, Vernena Russell; her father, Keith Boggess, Jr. (Sabrina) and children; her bonus dad, Donnie Cornell; three grandmothers, Rose Ashworth (Matt White), Patricia Boggess and Sonja (DJ) Halley; three sisters, Vayda Martin, Nadia Johnson and Zimara Hutchinson; one brother, Robert Smith; four aunts, Vanity Rose "Aunt V" (Ean), Joni "Non", Becka Johnson (Curtis, Kinser and Rosie) and Vanna Jade; uncles, Wade Beard, Jordan "Uncle Bubby", Mark "Kram", Nathan Halley, Zach Halley, Matt Gordon, and Brad Boggess; favorite cousins, Ella, Bella and Summer; special grandparents, Pete and Lori Broyles, Tammy Miller, and Sharon and Roger McCallister; and favorite Mimi, Misty (Jeff) McDonald. Zayla was preceded in death by grandfathers, Keith Boggess, Sr. and Van Johnson; and special friend, Tanner Harr. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
