Bernard Lewis Browning's Obituary
Bernard Lewis Browning, 80, of Proctorville Ohio passed away on February 10, 2024. He was born to Arville and May Browning in Landville WV in Logan County. He joins his wife of 34 years, Nola Jean Browning, in heaven. He had been widowed for 22 years and missed Nola every day. He leaves behind two daughters, Amy Lynn Edison (Ted Edison) and Shannon Lea Browning (Jeff Bennett) as well as 3 grandchildren, Victoria Elizabeth Solano (Mario Solano), Nolan Robert Bennett and Harrison Lewis Bennett. He also leaves behind his great grandson Gabriel Luis Solano. He also is survived by his sister, Patricia Dusek.
Bernie was a pharmacist in the community for many years and touched countless people throughout his career. He graduated from WVU School of Pharmacy in 1968. During his time as a pharmacist, he met and mentored many young pharmacists. One such person, Mike Fulks, became his business partner and treasured friend. The family is forever grateful for Mike's friendship and caring, especially in the last several years of Bernie's life.
Bernie was passionate about many things including history, old cars, and DIY. He could fix just about anything and knew a tremendous amount about all different kinds of topics. He also had a great love of dogs from his first dog, Skipper to his last companion, Sweetie.
Funeral services will be held at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio, on February 17, 2024, at 1 pm. Visitation will begin at noon prior to the service. He will then be interned next to his wife at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Barboursville, WV.John 11:25-26: "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."
