Cecil Sheppard's Obituary
Cecil G. Sheppard, 71, of Scottown, Ohio passed away Saturday October 28, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. The Scottown native was born September 15, 1946, the son of the late Cecil and Marceline Waggner Sheppard. He is survived by his wife, Julia A. Clark Sheppard, whom he married October 29, 1966. Mr. Sheppard was a graduate of South Point High School. He was an Equipment Supervisor for C.J. Hughes Construction in Huntington, WV. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed wood working and crafting. He attended The Good Shepherd Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dewey L. Sheppard. Cecil is survived by his wife, Julia; two sisters, Mary Broughton and Joyce Maynard; one brother, Earnest (Faye) Sheppard; three sons, John (Donna) Sheppard, Dewey (Rhoda) Sheppard and Jason (Melissa) Sheppard; one daughter, Lee-Ann Smith; twelve grandchildren, Michaela, Julia-Rose, Jarod, Hannah, John, Jacob, Ian, James, Gracie, Gabe, Silas and Cecil; also one very special friend and neighbor, Harold Lewis. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday November 3, 2017 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Ohio conducted by Pastor Heron Adkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
