So sorry to hear this. Was a great ball player at Russell. He was a wonderful friend of mine. Have many memories of Mickey over the years. Judy my prayers and love to you

Mickey was a special friend and team mate at Russell High School and Marshall University . Mickey moved to Russell in 1957-58 and was a star basketball player averaging 28 points a game and leading our team to a 28-5 record. Our team just missed going to the Sweet Sixteen Kentucky State Tournament. We both were inducted into the Russell High School Hall of Fame in 2017, the last time we talked. We also played basketball and baseball at Marshall University. He was very bright and had a unique sense of humor and had a name for every team mate which was endearing or maybe not. We had many great times together and I know he will be missed by family and friends.

Mickey was a strong supporter of NAIFA and a friend. He was a strong supporter and tireless advocate for his clients.
The world is a lesser place without Mickey. May the family find comfort in cherished memories and God's best during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
With deepest sympathy,
Herman Dixon

Jane and I knew Mickey for more than 30 years although we had not communicated for some time. We were a part of a very special group in the insurance and financial services industry who worked together to improve and elevate it throughout the years in WV. We always seemed to find things in common and humor in most. That group is getting smaller each year and his passing is especially saddening for us. He was a good man and will be missed.
