Charles "Mickey" Michael Sydenstricker's Obituary
Mickey Sydenstricker, 85, of Huntington, WV, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Wyngate at Rivers Edge, Proctorville, OH. He was born on January 20, 1939, in Huntington, WV, to the late Forrest and Alberta Lambert Sydenstricker. He was a 1956 Russell High School Graduate. He was also a 1963 Marshall University Graduate where he set multiple records for the Marshall Baseball and Basketball Team. He attended Alabama University where he played basketball and broke the Freshman scoring record. He retired from TransAmerica Life Insurance Company. He is survived by his wife Donna Sydenstricker; two sons Rob Sydenstricker of Huntington, WV, and Ben (Laura) Boggs of Ironton, OH; one daughter Deb Greer of Oak Ridge, TN; five grandchildren Layton Sydenstricker, Alexa (Dustin) Moritz, Riley (Chloe) Boggs, and Blake Greer, and Elizabeth Greer; and his favorite furry companion Koby. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 11, 2024, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Terry Wagner officiating the service. Burial will follow the service at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the funeral home.
