Charles (Charlie) Powers, 81, of Huntington, WV passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 29, with Pastor Trent Eastman officiating at New Baptist Read Obituary
I was minister at Falmouth Christian church for Fourteen years. I would often receive letters of encouragement and prayers from Charles. He would send educational materials for our youth group and always ask me how my wife and son were doing. My dear friend Carol Houchen spoke highly of Charles. Met Mr. Powers a number of years ago where I work. He always had a smile and a kind word to everyone he saw. He definitely loved the Lord and always wanted to see if you did too!!
He will be missed by so many!
Prayers for those left behind to mourn, but also rejoice in knowing the we can see him again in if we believe In Christ like he did!!
CHARLES WAS A CHARTER MEMBER OF OUR LOCAL GOSPEL CHOIR, SAINTS ALIVE, AND WAS FAITHFUL IN SHOWING UP TO SING. WE WILL MISS HIM SO MUCH, HE WAS ALWAYS LAUGHING AND SMILING, FINDING SOMETHING TO BE BLESSED OVER.
