Prayers for his family!! He will be missed!!

Q: How did you meet Charles?
A: My name is Judy Jarrell and Charlie mowed my lawn for a couple of years. He was a great friend and was very honest. He loved the community and especially supported the schools. I admired his tenacity and work ethic. I'm surely going to miss him. Rest In Peace my friend💕

For years we would eat breakfast at Tudors together and could listen to him talk politics on a daily basis it was always a joy to see him I came to his house several weeks ago To see him because I knew he was Ill I'm so happy I did get to see him again he was a great man and great friend and I will miss him I'm sorry for your loss

Charlie helped my dad chop many a tree into fire wood. Bruce and I are planting a tree to celebrate him and bring life full circle. (BlackWalnut?)

I am so sorry for your loss. As I got to know Charlie over the past 20 years, I came to really enjoy him! He was a true supporter of Proctorville and the schools.

Charlie was a lifetime friend. He worked for my dad on the Gillette farm when I was a kid, as did his brother Leon before him. Later he bought my aunt's house and moved next door. He treated me with dignity and respect, something that I was not accustomed to from my family. He was always quick to lend a hand to neighbors and I worry that grass in the Rome Township area will run amok. I enjoyed our visits and phone calls over these many years. He was truly one of my very best friends and I loved him and will miss him. Thank you Doug for all you and the rest of the family did for him when he got sick. May he rest in peace. My sincerest condolences to Charles' family and friends.

Dear family, My condolences and prayers. Charlie and I went to high school together (one year). Then came more times with him through his family and the Fairland Board of Education. We had many interesting conversations over the years. Great memories. I regret that I can't be with you for the visitation/service. He contributed much to the Fairland community.

Family and Friends: We are so very sorry to learn of Charlie's passing! Charlie and I were school buddies and played on several teams together! He was one of the friendliest people that we ever knew and tried his hardest at everything he did! We admired him very much in working so hard after he retired! We saw Charlie mowing almost everywhere; and, he took great pride in giving his customers the best job he could! He will be missed in our community! May God comfort his family and friends!
