Dorothy Penn Scott's Obituary
Ms. Dorothy Penn Scott was born in Eagle Rock, VA on October 30, 1936. Jesus wrapped his loving arms around her and took her home on June 25, 2022. Job well done my good and faithful servant. Dorothy was the fifth child born to Warner & Viola Penn of Eagle Rock, VA She was member of Eagle Rock Baptist Church and also became a member of Pine Street Baptist Church in Covington, VA. Dorothy attended Watson High School. She married Joe Scott. They started a family and moved to Huntington, WV in 1960. There is where she pursued an education at Marshall University. She achieved her Masters plus in Education and began her teaching career in Elementary Education and grew to become a principal of several Cabell County Schools. Most of her years were spent at Miller Elementary School. Dorothy had many professional and civic affiliations:

Grandchildren, the late Maurice Dobson (Laura) of Atlanta, GA, Farra Harless of Simi Valley, CA, Shimeka Dardy (Marcus) of Indianapolis, IN, Crystal H. (Chris) Foster of Simi Valley, CA, Cherese Christian of Rand, WV, Alexander Harless of Newport News, VA and Mario Christian of Rand, WV.
Great Grandchildren Sean Alexander Dobson of Atlanta, GA, Ijanea Wesley of Rand, WV, Zion Christian of Rand, WV, Caleb, Chanel and Capri Foster of Simi Valley, Christian Woods of Rand, WV; special nephew Augustine (Ellen) Penn of Covington, VA and many cousins and friends.
Dorothy Penn Scott, we will see you again in the New City of Jerusalem, the Holy in all of God's Heavenly Glory and splendor. Your purpose was finished.
