Ernest Earl Pennington's Obituary
Earl Pennington, 73, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday February 13, 2022 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born April 29, 1948 in Huntington, WV to the late Ernie Pennington and Madge Haynes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Slone. Earl was a retired Machinist from CSX Railroad and an U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam Era. He is survived by his wife Joyce Pennington; three daughters Mary Beth (Kerry) Kelty of South Point, Ohio, Jayna (Justin) Melvin of Lynchburg, VA, and Sarah (Barry) Hyder of Dunlap, TN; one stepdaughter Joni (Billy) Myers of Glenwood, WV; one stepson Gary Smith of Huntington, WV; 13 grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister Brenda Arnold; three brothers Roger, Gary, and Greg Pennington; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday February 17, 2022 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Brother Daniel Sewell. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
