Gladys Evelyn "Red" Kerstetter's Obituary
Gladys Evelyn “Red” Kerstetter, 87, of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Born on November 5, 1937, in Middleburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Ann Mullen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Kerstetter and her grandson, Dustin Clark. Gladys was a graduate of Milton High School in Milton, PA. She was a spunky, fun-loving, and confident lady. As an Air Force wife, Gladys lived in 11 states and foreign countries while raising her family and supporting her husband, Richard. She worked at Lewisburg Nursing Home in Lewisburg, PA, for several years and was an integral part of the senior center. Gladys moved to Ohio in November 2019 and resided at Wyngate at RiversEdge in Proctorville, OH, with her cat, Peanut, where she made numerous friends and enjoyed playing bingo, dressing up, and enjoying her “Kahlúa Fridays”. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Meg) Kerstetter of Overland Park, KS, Bill (Melanie) Kerstetter of Proctorville, OH, and Roger Kerstetter of Wellington, UT; grandchildren, Adam (Melinda) Kerstetter of Olathe, KS, Eric Kerstetter of Dallas, TX, Andrea (Elliot) Espinosa of Coweta, OK, Blake (Bailey) Kerstetter of Proctorville, OH, and Colby Kerstetter of Wellington, UT; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hadley Kerstetter of Olathe, KS, Daisy Kerstetter of Dallas, TX, and ZeVvelyn Balalong, Veziya Balalong, and Remington Espinosa all of Coweta, OK; her aunt who was like a sister, Betty Halterman, and a host of dear friends in PA. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH. A Graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery in New Columbia, PA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gladys’ honor to Hospice of Huntington.
