Our community lost another great one. Some called him James, Mr Hall, Coach, Teacher, dad, husband, teammate, mentor, neighbor but all referred to him as a friend. Coach Hall exemplified what it ment to be a leader in the classroom and in life. He always was looking for those coaching moments on and off the court to help others. As my teacher and basketball coach at AJ he helped mold me into the person i am today. As an adult he got to watch my son and daughter play their selected sport. Even 30yrs later he had to point out all the great things they did on the court and the attitudes they showed to coaches, teammates and officials. As he pointed out specific examples as they played he asked did you teach them that? I finally got to thank him in believing in me all those years ago by simply stating "no sir you did!" Believe it or not I was listening in practice and passed your knowledge on to them. He simply nodded his head to say thank you. Never one to take credit, bragg, or want personal recognition he just had to reply maybe Bobby but I never showed you how to jump that high, dig that ball, make that pass ect ect. Thank you coach for everything you did and will do through the next generations as your memories and knowledge of life will live on.
