Q: How did you meet Jason?
A: I met Jason at the lifehouse recovery center in Huntington. We had started our journey at the lifehouse at around the same time as one another seeing how we both met in the first phase stage also known as the farm. I could immediately tell that he was a very good dude and during the first few interactions with him I already knew that he was going to be a friend of mine. One thing about Jason is that when he committed to wanting a changing life he never looked back but only forward. He was just one of those who wanted it so bad and knew that the only way to achieve this was to change every single thing about himself. This was accomplished very quick for Jason and because of that I was able to benefit so much from his knowledge and wisdom and words of strength that he had gained so quickly because of his complete transformation happening immediately. There was never a time where we had one problem throughout our whole almost 2 years of knowing each other. I love Jason he was a very good friend of mine and despite the fact that we did not take the same journey resulting in not seeing and spending as much time together as we once had it didn't matter because every time we came across each other and talked we caught up very quickly and it was like we had never missed a beat. My greatest memories with him is not a certain time or event that I'm going to say in this book but instead I'm going to say that our greatest memory together was that the whole time we were friends during his transformation into his new life every time that we left each other and reunited with each other throughout that time frame he was a more improved and better Jason every time. That brought so much joy to my life knowing that every time I seen him he was smiling he was healthy and he had something to add to the list of great things that he had achieved during his course of change. He found God and he would always be the first to tell you that that was the only reason that he was better than he was when he first started because he acknowledged that it wasn't nothing of him but only of God. I am very upset sick and disturbing individual right now and I can only continue to think of why Satan would have wanted to have tried to bring him back to where he got so far from and loved every minute of it because of the gains that he had going on in his life. Jason will forever miss you and your friendship and your ability to be strong and to teach me so many things of life. There's no doubt that you're in heaven right now because God doesn't change individual lives ordinary level that yours was only to send them away. I'm happy knowing one thing. The faces with death that you had overcome throughout your life of addiction I can only feel happy about it cuz God sparing you all them days was the only reason that you were able to be here to change your life you a christ-like man who is now in heaven. Kind of feel like God knows exactly what he was doing
Jason was my son-in-law for several years he and my daughter Christina Marie Dalton Maynard gave me 4 beautiful grandchildren. Rest in peace my friend , you will be missed
When I decided to make a attempt at getting sober a couple years ago, he was a transportation driver taking guys from the farm to Tristate and other appointments. Him and I talked about the big book, and Bible. We discussed theology and application of values in your new life sober. He never judged me for my failures, just always there with a helping hand. I miss you Jason, thanks for all you done to help me
To my uncle Jason I haven't seen in some time , we have so many memories together. You was a fun uncle and loved us very much even though what we been through in our family. You came so far an so close so proud of you . You did your best . I know your with moma and my moma your in good hands 🙌 watch over us and Direct us in the right path. Jason and I were roommates at the Lifehouse in the main house for quite a while. After he got through being a transport driver for Tri-State and he had become a recovery coach he would always say, "There's my guy!!" I will never forget that you always had something nice to say about anybody and everybody, and you were like this everyday. Rest in peace my brother. Always love you, bud! Much love!
You are going to be missed but you did treat jessica and her little boy like gold and you are a great person and you were a great staff for those at lifehouse and we are all family here and you are never forgotten
