Joshua Allen Harbolt's Obituary
Joshua Allen Harbolt 43, of South Point, Ohio, was born on June 29, 1982, but ran into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. Josh is survived by his children, Killian, Brian and Larkin; his love and companion, Jenny; mother, Tammy; brother, Daniel; sisters, Norma and Wanda, and many beloved friends and family members including many half brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and a long list of others that would be too long to include everyone here. First and foremost, Josh was a Christian. He was a graduate of the class of 2002 at Chesapeake High school. He also was an Army veteran. He served his country well, including two tours to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. He was proud of serving even if the memories of what he went through took a toll at times. He would always say he would have never changed a thing and would have continued longer if he could have. Josh was also an active Christian soldier and member of Burlington Wesleyan Independent Church in South Point, OH, where he coordinated the Matthew 25:40 Outreach Ministry that included burgers for the homeless, feeding the local schools football team and band members, and the most recent outreach, The Pointer After School Program. Josh always put others before himself. He loved to help kids especially and he always lived his life to encourage every kid to get better, whether in life or in a sport. He loved to have deep in-depth conversations with anyone he could. When you had a conversation with him, you better of had some free time to spare on your schedule. Josh also worked hard as a truck driver and when he wasn’t working, he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. It seemed that he always found the best spots for fishing. Most important of all, Josh loved is his relationship with Jesus. He renewed it and held tight to it until his last days. Because of this, he has a new body and is no longer in pain. When you read this, try not to cry but try to look back and remember every interaction and all the memories you had with him and know that you were a big part of his life, but Jesus was bigger and it is great knowing that he is truly at peace and would want you to also have that same peace that only a relationship with the father can give. To celebrate Josh’s life, his viewing will be Monday, November 24, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. with funeral services following at 2:00 P.M. at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, with his pastor and brother Rev. Robert Dillon, officiating. Burial will follow at Rome-Proctorville Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family at https://ehallfuneralhome.com
