Judith Diane "Judy" Oskin's Obituary
Judith Diane “Judy” Oskin, 86, of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
Judy was a loving wife, mother and an extraordinary homemaker. She was passionate about gardening and crafting, and she also loved traveling the country.
Born on Feb. 5, 1939, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Barbara Irene Lewandoski Galley.
Judy and her husband Joseph Oskin shared 65 beautiful years together. They had three children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Judy was a Cub Scout den mother, Chesapeake PTA member and a supporter of the American Legion.
She could grow the most beautiful flower gardens and was doing DIY projects before it was trendy.
Most importantly, Judy had a kind heart. She always put her husband and children first. Judy made every holiday special, and she always welcomed family and friends into her home, with warm, homecooked meals.
She will be missed by many people who loved her, but memories of her life will carry on forever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Galley and Barbara “Toby” Snedden.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years; children, Robert “Woody” (Sherri) Oskin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Joey (Keith) Miller of Alabama, and Julie (Jimmy) Todd of Chesapeake, Ohio; grandchildren, Josh Miller, Seth (Hannah) Oskin, Kaila Miller, Beck Oskin, Will Todd, and Zoee Oskin; great-grandchildren, Adelane Oskin and Stella Grace Oskin; siblings, Chuck (Jackie) Galley, Leo (Kathy) Galley, John “Sam” Galley, Kristine Potts, Polly (Glenn) Lewis, and long time neighbor, friend, and part of the family, Matt Parnell.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake, Ohio.
