Kelly Clifton was never a wealthy man, but he lived a life rich with good friends and a wide range of experiences. Between his time in the Army and traveling the country selling various items and services he saw more of the world than most people. He especially loved his time in Germany, Galveston Texas, Myrtle Beach and south Florida. Kelly was well read. His reading left him with a wide range of knowledge on many subjects, and he loved to talk about his favorite subjects, such as politics, race cars, and history. He also loved astronomy, and we kept each other informed of events such as meteor showers, eclipses and the International Space Station sighting opportunities. Kelly lost several dear friends before his death, he was extremely saddened by their passing. While he didn't have any close relatives left, he leaves behind one very dear friend, Tammy Pinson. He talked about her more than anyone else during the 38 years that I knew him. Kelly will always be remembered as a caring person. He spent many years of his life caring for his mother, and would literally give the shirt off his back to a stranger in need. He'll also be remembered for his many tales from his travels. I wish him only the best in the afterlife, may he forever have an audience to share his stories with.
