Mark Alan Hunter's Obituary
Mark Alan Hunter, 37, of Huntington, WV passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at home. It is with deep sorrow and grief we share this loss of our beloved Mark. He was born on March 26, 1986, to Barbara Lynn Parsley Hunter, whom he referred to as "momma", and the late Earle Robert Hunter. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Maeghan Nichole Jack Hunter, whom was his "Dear". Mark is also survived by his beautiful children, Marley Nichole, age 6, Jackson Lee, age 4, and bonus daughter, Jasmine Teal Weaver, age 17; two sisters, Cristy Lynn Toney of Chesapeake, Ohio and Leslee Ann John Feaster of Gibbstown, NJ, and one brother, Earle Wayne Hunter of St. Petersburg, FL; three nephews, Phoenix (Charity) Ingraham, Malachi (Shayla) Ingraham of Huntington, WV, and Brandon Livengood of Franklin, IN., Cristy's bonus son, Logan (Megan) Toney of Chesapeake, Ohio; niece Willow Toney of Chesapeake, Ohio; a great nephew, Elias Ingraham, who will make his entrance into the world any day; three uncles, Robert (Ruth Ann) Parsley of Granville, Ohio, Bruce (Linda) Parsley of Winchester, KY and Wayne "Chris" Hunter of South Hampton, NJ; several cousins; father and mother-in-law, Edward, Sr. and Glenda Napier Jack and the remaining side of Maeghan's side of the family. Mark was a proud cancer survivor and due to the treatments as a teenager, he did not think he would be able to be a father. He cherished and adored being a daddy and a bonus dad. Maeghan and the children were the joy of his life. He always stressed to Jasmine, he loved her as one of his own. Jasmine will always treasure his talks with her. He enjoyed music, nature, cooking, fixing things, history, psychology, and collecting pocketknives as well as playing outside with his Marley and Jackson, their faces lit up when their daddy walked into a room. He always made sure Maeghan and the children knew they were loved and showered them with affection. A bright and shining light has gone out in our family, and Mark will be forever deeply loved and missed. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Steve Wayne officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wayne, WV. Visitation will be held 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, also at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.
