Michael Anthony Ferguson's Obituary
Michael Anthony Ferguson, 51, of Ironton, OH, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center in Ashland, KY. Born on November 5, 1974, in Ironton, OH, he was the son of Rita Cade and the late Bill Ferguson. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Cressie Campbell, and Francis and Janet Cade. Janet held a special place in his heart; he adored her. Mike deeply loved his family and cherished his grandson, Ayden. He was also known for his great love and soft heart with animals. From carrying dog food in his car just in case he happened upon a stray dog, saving a nest of baby squirrels nursing them back to health, to picking up a fawn that was trying to nurse, who’s mama was killed on the side of the road. He named her “Tinker” and every hunting season he marked her with orange paint in an attempt to protect her. He loved that deer. Mike is survived by the love of his life, Lisa; daughter, Kayla; grandson, Ayden; sister, Jessica (Danny) McClurg; nephew, Luke McClurg, niece, Madelyn McClurg, and special aunt, Ruby Covey, who was like a second mother. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, is assisting the family with arrangements.
