Rexford Allen Freeman's Obituary
Rexford Allen Freeman, 90, of Proctorville, OH, is finally home waiting for his beloved wife, Barbara Mae Freeman, probably enjoying a peaceful nap before she gets there. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard Freeman and Nola Freeman; former wife, Ila Overby, and daughter, Kimberly Wiley. Rexford was a proud retired veteran from the U.S. Army where he received a Purple Heart Award. He was a member of Morning Star Full Gospel Church. He is survived by one daughter, Nolalynn Sullivan and her children, Linda R. Sullivan and Christy Jill Shelton, Kim’s children, Andrew and Cynthia, his wife’s children, Terri (Donnie) McClure, Mike (Donna) Ward, and Randy (Tammy) Ward; grandchildren, Misty, Amanda, Vanessa, Joshua Michael and Samantha, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Anyone who knew Rex knew he loved God, his wife, his church, and his home. Special thank you to Samantha Pine for her care of Rex in his final months of life. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, OH, with Pastor Alan Martin, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Huntington, WV.
