I still remember meeting Aunt Denise for the first time. She will always be light in the dark.

Denise was such an advocate for the ones she loved. If she loved you she loved you dearly. She was so kind hearted. I remember when we were little and at momaw Hughes's, she would get out there with all of us and play just as hard as the older kids. We always call her Nessie. Momaw loved her and I know there was a great reunion in Heaven. When we would get a chance to talk we both would talk about things we loved, like sewing. She always told me about her "littles" as she called them, her children. I miss miss you forever and a day. Till we meet again.

You were a special gift to everyone you met. You most definitely will be remembered with love often.

I will never forget all the times we talked and the so many times Denise was there for me. She was my sane aunt n I loved her so much.... she always had my back and literally, was the only one I had to lean on through all this stuff with mammaw. We understood each other on so many levels. After losing mom, I thought we might get real close... i will miss her funny self so much.
