Rhoda Elizabeth Denise Hughes' Obituary
Denise Hughes of Proctorville, Ohio passed away at her home on Friday, June 20th, 2025. She was born on February 3rd ,1968 to her parents Dennis and Francies (Coldiron) Hughes in Huntington, WV. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Oscar and Gerlie Coldiron and her paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and William Hughes, her father, Dennis Hughes, and an infant sister. She is survived by her mother, Francies Hughes, siblings George Lee (Sharon) and Sadie Hughes, her son, Nelson (Tina) Hughes, daughters, Mikki Hughes, and Cora (Robert) Hughes and a very proud Memaw to her “Littles” Madison Hughes, Braxton Hughes, Bryson Hughes, and Allison Hughes. I would like to include a poem she wrote if that is possible. “You don’t know your importance or how you held many others Words cannot express the pain of today We all had to say goodbye when it was too early Darkness is lightened with thoughts of you The hole in our souls is filled with love Our tears are filled with love and wishes.
