I was fortunate enough to be Russell and Lindagail's neighbor for the entire time that he lived here on Cranford Lane! I knew right off that he and I would get along fine because he was friendly and extremely kind and he went out of his way many times to be such a great neighbor! Russell possessed many talents from his knowledge of home maintenance to a vast array of culinary skills; and, he was extremely generous with all of his abilities and knowledge. Many times, as I was caring for my aged mother, Russell and Lindagail sent food over for the both of us and they continued to do so after my mom passed! Russell seemed to be very proud of his culinary abilities; and, he had every right to be so! Russell was a great man and a wonderful human being and he contributed very much to our community; much of which, the general public would never be aware! He was contented to kind of stay in the shadows and not be one to desire the spotlight! That's the kind of man he was! I will never forget the night a few years back around Christmas time that the water pipes in my home burst and the water was pouring into my upstairs and soaking through the ceiling and into the garage! Russell, without hesitation and on one of the coldest and windiest nights of that winter, grabbed his tool bag and came running to help me get it under control ! Folks, that is a true friend and he will be sorely missed by so many people, especially me! Rest in peace, dear friend! You were a great friend and it was my pleasure to have known you!
