Thomas Gene Crump's Obituary
Thomas Gene Crump (90) of Chesapeake, OH, joined his family in heaven on October 5, 2024 in Huntington, WV. He was born May 6, 1934, he dedicated his life to his three daughters and their children. Tom retired with forty- one years of service from Owens-Illinois Glass factory. Tom was known for being a beloved, devoted father and "papal" to his numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents NoraBelle and Glennie Crump; siblings Emmett, Phyllis and Glenita Crump, and daughter Denise Crump. He is survived by daughters Rhonda (Roy) Crockett and Mindy (Chris) Schneider; grandchildren Lindsey, Lesley, and Jessi Crockett, Jarrod (Rachel) Schneider, Kelly (Joe) Whitley, and Jenny Lane; great-grandchildren Alexa, Evan, Abby, Emmett, Charley, Jaleigh, Josie, and Hudson; niece Vicki Crump, son-in-law David Schneider, and his friend of many years, Roger Salmons. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House for their compassionate and dignified care. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday October 9, 2024 at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday October 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
